A HISTORIC Flintshire pub is set to reopen its doors under new ownership.
The Fox & Grapes, in Hawarden, has been closed for the last couple of months after the previous landlord decided not to renew his lease on the Grade II listed building.
But the pub, which dates back to the 17th century, is reopening in August after it was taken over by Liverpool-based businessman, Jason Mighty.
He has been in the pub and bar trade for the last eight years, and wants to bring all his experience to the table.
"This is the first pub I've owned," he said.
"But I have a lot of experience in managing pubs, and I have really exciting plans for the Fox."
The pub will be offering a brunch and afternoon menu, as well as a full evening menu.
There will also be cocktails on sale, wine tasting events, quiz nights and plans for some live music.

"I'm as excited about this as the local community in Hawarden," Jason said.
"The reaction I've had has been so positive. It's clear how much this pub means to local people and we can't wait to open."
The Fox & Grapes will be reopening on August 8.
