JOHNNY HASELDIN just wants his Holywell Town side to improve on their points tally from last season.

A point at home to Llanidloes Town will make sure of the Cymru North title for consistent Holywell, who came up just short in their championship quest last time out.

Boss Haseldin (pictured above) said: “Last year, we were looking at previous tables. Normally, 72 or 73 points wins it.

“We got 79 last year and were runners-up. Our objective was to do better than we did last year and 81 points will better that.

“Did I think it would need that much to win the league? Probably not, but that’s full credit to all the teams that have pushed us.”

Since the turn of the year, the relentless Wellmen have only dropped two points in the league and they will be strong favourites to defeat bottom-of-the-table Llanidloes.

Haseldin is taking absolutely nothing for granted, though, and he stressed: “The lads know what they need to do.

“We want to finish off at home on a good note. We need to be fully focused on us.

“The message will be don’t change anything. We need to be up for this game as much as the previous games.”
