Staff at St Asaph-based nursing agency Jane Lewis raised more than £2,500 for local charities last year including St Kentigerns Hospice, Gresford Pre-School Play Group, Ty Gobiath and Bethphage.

National and international charities such as Save the Children, Cancer Research and Children in Need were also recipients of Jane Lewis’ fundraising efforts as staff took part in activities such as Christmas Jumper Day and Wear it Pink.

Some of the fundraising activities included a Charity Dog Walk, the Rhyl 5k Onesie Walk, Shrewsbury Half Marathon, a Halloween Fancy Dress competition as well as many well attended bake sales.

Managing Director Becky Garnett-Buchma said: “As a local nursing agency with a strong presence in the communities we serve we appreciate how significant charitable donations are in supporting the important services provided by local charities to our community. We are therefore very happy to have raised over £2500 last year.”

As a company Jane Lewis will continue to fundraise for local charities in the upcoming year with Consultant Bernie Murphy and Deputy Manager Chanel preparing to take part in a skydive to raise money for Mencap Cymru and British Heart Foundation.
