A range of exclusive official Beatles memorabilia will be sold off in a digital auction.

The auction has been organised by John Lennon's son, Julian Lennon who says items will be sold as non-fungible tokens (NFT) as part of the Lennon Connection: The NFT Collection.

Some of the items that are up for grabs include outfits worn by Lennon and hand-written notes by Sir Paul McCartney.

As well as John Lennon's Magical Mystery Afghan Coat, several guitars from the band, and the black cape Lennon wore in the film Help!

The items being sold as NFTs will be sold as audio-visual collectibles that will also have narration by Lennon as well as images of the items.

Julian Lennon told Rolling Stone: "Through this NFT collection, I’m able to grant exclusive access to special items that I cherish and carry on the legacy of my father in a new way."

The auction will be held online on February 7, however, bidding and registration have already begun.

Part of the proceeds will go to Julian Lennon’s White Feather Foundation.
