A HOSPICE has received a donation of more than £1,000.

The Masonic Charitable Foundation has made donations totalling more than £7,000 to five hospices operating across North Wales, including £1,220 to St Kentigern, based in St Asaph.

This donation is in addition to money already granted locally by Freemasons in North Wales throughout 2017.

Ieun Redvers, provincial grand master for North Wales, said:"Since 1984, over £12 million has been donated to hospices in England and Wales.

"We recognise the wonderful services that the hospices provide in the community and are delighted to be able to demonstrate our support for them in this way."

Other grants from the foundation include: £1,000 to Gwynedd Hospice at Home; £1,580 to Nightingale House, Wrexham Hospice and Cancer Care Support Centre; £1,000 to Severn Hospice/Hosbis Hafren, Newtown; £1,760 to St David’s Hospice; and £1,177 to Ty Gobaith.
