LLANSANNAN 6
LLANRWST UNITED RESERVES 4
THERE were goals aplenty as Llansannan prevailed to maintain their tilt at this season's North Wales Coast FA Junior Cup.
In an all-Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League clash, Premier Division title chasers Llan were favourites against Division One high-flyers Llanrwst United Reserves.
It was by no means plain sailing for the villagers, but they eventually prevailed 6-4 to book their spot in the last-16.
Leon Gierke struck twice to help Llansannan progress, while the remaining goals came from Geraint Jones, Euros Lloyd, Elis Vaughan and Gwion Evans.
Barry Wyn Jones (2), Steven Marchant and Josh Francis kept Llanrwst interested during this second round encounter.
It's another all-Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League meeting in the third round, with Llansannan heading to Division One title chasers Llandudno Amateurs on February 17.
