PWLLHELI 2
LLANNEFYDD 3
PLAYING right up until the final whistle worked out superbly for Llannefydd.
It looked like the villagers would have to settle for a point during their Lock Stock Welsh Alliance League Division Two trip to Pwllheli on Saturday.
With 90 minutes up, the scoreline was tied up at 2-2.
However, in a dramatic late development, Tomos Jones bagged a 91st minute goal to seal Llannefydd's fifth league triumph of the campaign.
Looking to preserve their unbeaten record, Pwllheli took the lead thanks to Marc Jones' strike, but Llannefydd were able to respond in terrific fashion.
Tomos Jones levelled things up in the 20th minute, before Lewys Jones handed the visitors the lead eight minutes later.
The Gwynedd hosts responded via a goal from Carl Jones and that looked to be that.
But Tomos Jones had other ideas and his late, late effort handed Llan a third away league win of the season.
