LLANNEFYDD currently occupy fourth spot in Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division Two after a 2-2 home draw with Gaerwen.
A thoroughly entertaining clash saw both sides have something to show for their efforts after cancelling each other out in the closing stages, and Llan are now eight points behind leaders Blaenau Amateurs ahead of their next outing on home soil against Aberffraw on Saturday.
The visitors started the game strongly and went ahead through a fierce strike from Connor Gordon, but Tomos Jones was on hand to level proceedings soon after.
An evenly match contest was turned on its head by the away side once again and Sion Monument despatched an opportunity following a prolonged spell of possession, but the hosts bounced back in fine style and secure a point thanks to Jones’ second of the afternoon from the penalty spot.
Both sides missed chances to claim all three points in the closing stages, but none of them were able to convert giving both sides a share of spoils after a thoroughly entertaining affair.
