THERE has been a fantastic start to the Denbigh and District Winter Darts League season, with Huw Watson's Wings A looking serious contenders to muscle in on the A-League heavyweights.
They have started off in brilliant form, registering an 8-0 win over Hand Inn A and a 7-1 victory over Golden Lion A.
Pete Martin produced 17 and 13-dart legs in his match versus the Hand, while Sion Watsham has rattled in a 15-darter and a 108 checkout in his two matches so far.
Summer champions The Wingmen have started the winter campaign in fine form courtesy of a 7-1 victory over Kinmel Arms A and an 8-0 slapping of Hand Inn A.
Jamie Dowell grabbed a 180 in both games.
Reigning champions Masons A have played one game so far and they defeated Golden Lion B 8-0 for the loss of just three legs.
The newly-formed Cons Club have had a great start to life in the B-League.
They began by recording a 5-3 victory over Hand Inn B.
The Hand's Josh Field grabbed a 108 checkout in his game.
The Cons then defeated Kinmel Arms B 6-2.
They sit top with White Lion A, who have two victories to their name - against the Plough Inn (5-3) and the Llindir Inn (8-0).
