SHAUN Davies will take charge of Caerwys for the remainder of the Clwyd League (East) season.
After seven weeks without fixtures, through no fault of the club, some Caerwys players had become disillusioned and left.
Others were lacking in commitment, which prompted the resignation of manager Nick Voyle, soon followed by assistant Lee Jones.
After three defeats in January, talk of the team folding were soon been quashed.
Davies, 50, is Caerwys through and through, an ex-player with managerial experience who will do his utmost to keep the team going and introduce some youth to the team.
He is also the Caerwys Summer League team manager and he is looking for players who are interested in playing this year.
Summer league rules dictate that players must reside in the Caerwys, Afonwen and Lloc areas.
Any players keen to join up with the winter or summer teams can contact Shaun Davies on 07771 674491.
