LLANUWCHLLYN 9

IN-FORM Llanuwchllyn can start looking up the Wrexham Area League Premier Division standings.

The Gwynedd villagers maintained their brilliant run of form in the league courtesy of Saturday's thumping 9-0 triumph at bottom-of-the-table Lex XI.

It's now five games without defeat for Llanuwchllyn, who made it crucial back-to-back triumphs in the league.

Man of the match Iolo Gwyn Jones bagged a hat-trick for Llan, who kept their third clean sheet in a row.

Cai Johnson struck twice for the visiting side and the remaining efforts came from Delwyn Jones, Owain ap Gareth, Jack Evans and Rob John Kimberley.

Llan now have 20 points and they are only four points behind Llay Welfare, who sit ninth in the Premier Division standings.

Meanwhile, the villagers are now a healthy nine points ahead of Rhostyllen, who lie third from bottom.
