MYNYDD LLANDEGAI 0

ST ASAPH CITY 4

THE super Saints are developing a pleasing habit.

Four-nil wins away from home are helping to move St Asaph City up the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance League Division One rankings.

St Asaph manager Daniel Brewerton was thrilled with his side after they secured a 4-0 win at Mynydd Llandegai over the weekend.

The Saints turned in another clinical display to make it two wins in succession, leaving them sitting in 10th position in the standings ahead of their next outing at home to basement dwellers Llandudno Junction on Saturday (2pm).

Brewerton said: “I’m made up after another great performance from the lads, we went into the game knowing that we had to build on last week’s result.

“We drew 2-2 with Mynydd Llandegai earlier in the season so we prepared for a very tough away game.

“The lads were on it from the first whistle and it was another fantastic performance and a clean sheet.”

The visitors made a strong start to the contest and they went ahead on 21 minutes when Paul Fleming was put through on goal and he showed tremendous composure to slot in the chance to open the scoring.

After the interval, the away side extend their tally on 55 minutes courtesy of a sensational free kick from Corey Brewerton following a foul on Matty Morris.

The points were in the bag after an hour thanks to a penalty from Duncan Midgley.

Another impressive spell of possession on 77 minutes saw the Saints net again.

This time it was Josh Morris who was the beneficiary with a well-taken effort from just outside the area to round off the scoring.
