LLANBERIS 3

ST ASAPH CITY 3

THE unbeaten run has been extended by St Asaph City following their hard-fought 3-3 draw at Llanberis.

The Saints recovered well to claim a share of the spoils in difficult conditions on their travels and Daniel Brewerton’s side stay in eighth position ahead of their next Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One fixture at home to title favourites Llangefni Town on Saturday (2.30pm).

The home side managed to open the scoring on 37 minutes courtesy of a neat finish from Ryan Owen and things went from bad-to-worse for the visitors soon afterwards when a lapse in concentration saw David Jones convert an opportunity after 43 minutes.

The Saints are made of stern stuff, though, and they came roaring back following the interval.

They were right back in the contest four minutes after the restart when Jason Foulkes found the net following some neat build-up play.

This visibly spurred on the away side and they were rewarded once again on 73 minutes.

Foulkes was put through to calmly put away another chance to restore parity to the score-line.

The rampant Saints went ahead when Paul Fleming hit the target on 78 minutes, but they were denied another valuable win thanks to Calum McDonald's equaliser six minutes from time.
