LLANDYRNOG UNITED RESERVES 2
LLANRUG UNITED RESERVES 1
A GOAL in each half did the trick to make sure it was a successful weekend for Llandyrnog United Reserves.
The Cae Nant side saw off Lock Stock Welsh Alliance League Reserves' Division high-flyers Llanrug United Reserves by a 2-1 margin.
There was a nice mixture of youth and experience among the Llandyrnog ranks and Jamie Jones' effort gave the hosts the lead at the interval.
Tudur Morris doubled the advantage with a quarter-of-an-hour remaining and that was enough to give Llandyrnog a ninth win of the season.
Gareth Griffiths slotted in a consolation goal for Llanrug with two minutes left to play.
