TWO more wins.

That is Denbigh Town's target as the club gets itself set for a crucial stage of the campaign.

The Central Park outfit has four games remaining in this season's Huws Gray Alliance.

Currently fourth from bottom in the standings, it promises to be a big month for Denbigh in their quest to remain in the second tier of Welsh football.

The vital run of games begins this Saturday with a home clash versus seventh-placed Buckley Town and Denbigh are seeking three points in their efforts to compete in the new FAW Championship North league next season.

Joint Denbigh boss Dewi Llion admitted: "It's still a tough run-in.

"We are looking at a minimum of two wins out of the four games as a must."

Denbigh's only remaining away match is a Vale of Clwyd derby at Rhyl on Friday, April 5.

This will then be followed by home six-pointers against fellow strugglers Holywell Town (April 9) and Llanrhaeadr YM (April 13).

Llion stressed that the club did not want the relegation battle to go down to the wire, especially with second from bottom Holywell Town having two more games to play after Denbigh's programme had come to an end.

"We would rather be in our shoes rather than anyone elses," added Llion.

"The most important thing is these lads haven't given up.

"There's a lot of experience and there and a lot of locals as well.

"They know how much it means to the club."

Miles Todd is suspended for this weekend, while Mark Roberts serves the last match of his suspension.

Crucially, frontman Roberts will return to the squad for the vital final three games.

Sam Downey will be back available for the clash versus Buckley.
