PENYCAE 1
LLANUWCHLLYN 1
WHILE a victory would have been nice, it was vital that Llanuwchllyn didn't lose out in their weekend encounter.
There was a genuine Wrexham Area League Premier Division six-pointer as Llan paid a visit to Penycae.
Both sides occupied spots in the bottom-four heading into the contest, with second-from-bottom Penycae trailing Llanuwchllyn by four points and two positions with the business part of the campaign fast approaching.
Llanuwchllyn enjoyed the better of things in the first half and Iolo Jones' penalty gave them the lead at the interval.
Back came Penycae after the break and Anthony Dunleavey bagged a crucial leveller.
Llanuwchllyn defended well during the second half, though, and they deserved the point that took them closer to safety.
