LLANNEFYDD 4

LLANNERCHYMEDD 1

WITH three games left to play this season, there's still a chance that Llannefydd could win the title.

Gwyndaf Pritchard's charges kept alive their hopes of claiming this season's Lock Stock Welsh Alliance League Division Two championship by easing to a 4-1 home success versus Llannerchymedd on Saturday.

Two goals in each half did the trick for the home Llan, who recorded their 17th league win of the campaign.

An own goal and Tomos Jones had Llannefydd in control, but the visitors weren't quite finished just yet and Lewis Connor pulled one back right on the stroke of half-time.

Llannefydd weren't about to be denied, though, and Ciran Jones's strike regained the two-goal cushion midway through the second half.

Ynyr Clwyd concluded the scoring a quarter-of-an-hour from time.

This followed a 3-0 win for Llannefydd during their trip to Mochdre Sports in midweek.

Goals from Tomos Hywel, Elgan Roberts and Ed Jones made it a comfortable evening for Llannefydd.
