LLANDYRNOG 1
CLAWDDNEWYDD 3
SOMETHING had to give in the Cae Nant clash between Llandyrnog and Clawddnewydd.
Both sides went into the Thursday night tussle seeking a first win of the season.
At the final whistle, it was Clawddnewydd who were the happier of the two sides on the back of their 3-1 success.
Two goals from Clawdd top scorer Tirion Griffiths took his haul for the season up to a fine five goals.
Also on target for the visitors was Jordan MacCarter with his first of the season.
Craig Jones grabbed Llandyrnog's response.
Eddie Evans came off the bench for the home side and he almost inspired a Llandyrnog fightback.
He played a part in Craig Jones' goal and he also won a penalty for Llandyrnog.
However, Pat Hinchcliffe's attempt from 12 yards was saved.
