YSCEIFIOG 1
CEFN 4
A FOUR-MIDABLE display made sure that defending champions Cefn are the third leaders of this season's Summer League.
Following previous frontrunners Llanfair and Llanrhaeadr, Alun "Junior" Owen's charges took over at the top courtesy of their 4-1 success at Ysceifiog.
Jake Walker turned out to be the star of the show for Cefn as he bagged a hat-trick on the night.
His opening goal arrived in the fourth minute, while Walker struck a quickfire double midway through the second period to take his tally for the season up to a magnificent seven goals.
Owain Roberts added a fourth goal for Cefn in the final minute.
Ysceifiog's goal came from Sam Parry and home boss Tony Doyle hailed a good team performance from his battling side.
There was also a good all-round team performance from Cefn, with Guto Owen and Jake Walker impressive.
