DENBIGH Town U-13s season came to a close with a 3-1 defeat versus Bodelwyddan in the League Cup final at Prestatyn.

Playing in front of a good crowd, it was Bodelwyddan who scored first with a thunderous strike that gave Liam Roberts no chance in the Denbigh goal.

Denbigh battled for an equaliser, but it was Bodelwyddan who scored next, tucking away a well-worked second goal.

Town didn't let their heads drop and they battled on.

They were eventually rewarded when Kofi Halliday fired into the bottom corner to reduce the gap.

The second half saw clearcut chances few and far between in a tight contest between two very good sides.

Bodelwyddan hit a third goal with a lovely finish and this was to be the last of the scoring.

Morgan Jones had an exceptional game in defence and he was faultless in his display for Denbigh, as was fellow defender Josh Smith.

The were up against some very good Bodelwyddan attackers.

Goalkeeper Liam Roberts also had an excellent game, playing the match whilst carrying a painful knee injury.

Denbigh finish the season as league and cup runners-up.
