CLAWDDNEWYDD 0
YSCEIFIOG 2
THE best things come to those who wait.
Prior to Thursday evening, Ysceifiog were still seeking their first victory of 2019.
However, that wait is over after they claimed a fine 2-0 triumph at Clawddnewydd, climbing off the bottom of the table in the process.
A superb individual effort saw the visitors take the lead.
After receiving the ball on the halfway line, Jack Pennington went on a terrific run that saw him beat five tacklers, before he found the back of the net.
More joy would go Ysceifiog's way when Paul Gill's strike found the bottom corner of the net.
Ysceifiog boss Tony Doyle described the display as "a great team performance" and he said the players were now starting to gel as a team.
