LLANDYRNOG 3
YSCEIFIOG 0
THE Summer League's form team at present is Llandyrnog.
Jimmy McNally's charges made it three wins on the bounce with a 3-0 verdict at home to determined Ysceifiog, which continued Llandyrnog's push away from the lower reaches of the table.
A cracking goal had the home side in the box seat to begin the second half of the campaign.
Luke Humphreys' 25-yard free kick found the top corner of the Ysceifiog net.
Another fine effort then doubled the lead.
Josh Jones beat three would-be challengers before drilling a strike from the edge of the box into the net.
It was by no means all one-way traffic, though, and they had opportunities to haul themselves back into the contest.
As it turned out, Llandyrnog made the points safe from the spot.
Luke Humphreys was fouled in the box and Josh Jones converted the ensuing penalty to seal the deal.
