YSCEIFIOG 3
YSCEIFIOG have done something they haven't achieved for more than a decade.
For the second time during the week, Tony Doyle's in-form charges recovered from a two-goal deficit to secure a Summer League triumph.
The latest outcome saw them achieve their first Summer League success over Cefn since May 14, 2009.
On that occasion, Simon Holloway and John Stamatiou shared the goals for the Flintshire side in a 3-1 triumph.
Initially, things looked to be going in Cefn's favour and Jack Davies' free kick gave them the lead in only the third minute.
That was it for the first half scoring, but Cefn were celebrating once more just a couple of minutes into the second half when Davies netted his second free kick of the evening.
That was as good as it got for the hosts, though, as Ysceifiog came storming back.
Keith Ainsworth's penalty rejuvenated Ysceifiog's hopes, before two goals in the last 10 minutes from Mike Guest completed a dramatic turnaround.
For a youthful Cefn team, Steffan Williams, Owen Evans and Jack Davies all performed well on the night.
