AT one stage of the season, this match looked like it could be a title decider.

However, a few slip-ups during the second half of the campaign meant this was not the case.

Even so, both sides will have been keen for victory and they will both fancy their chances in the Tony Evans Memorial Shield.

Henllan had already made sure of a runners-up finish and their goal on the night was netted by Nico Clwyd.

Llanrhaeadr, needing a win to secure a top-three-finish this season, made the trip to Top Park with just 10 players.

Even so, they were able to stretch their unbeaten run to six matches courtesy of Kevin Evans' sixth goal of the season.

Joint-Llanrhaeadr boss Martin Baldry said: "I was very pleased to get a result with only 10 men against a good Henllan team."

LLANRHAEADR completed their home Summer League programme in winning fashion.

Wednesday night was marked by a rearranged clash at home to Clawddnewydd.

Goals from Alan Armstrong, Dafydd Davies and Ian Evans did the trick to hand Llan a fifth home triumph of the campaign.

On target for Clawdd was Owen Heath.
