LLANDYRNOG United departed the FAW Trophy on the back of a heavy loss at Wrexham Area League Brymbo.

The hosts swept through by an 8-0 margin.

Jamie Cummings (2), Jake Prescott (2), Ryan Clarke (2), Jordan Deer and Andy Noonan scored.

There was better fortune for Llanuwchllyn, who bagged a 2-1 triumph at Chirk Town.

Strikes from Sam Evans and David Jones did the trick for Llan, with Louis Penrose replying.

Llangollen Town's trophy tilt came to a halt via their 6-1 loss at the hands of Cefn Mawr Rangers.

Ryan Harden, Guto Neto (2), Ben Cupit, Kurt Isaac and Chris Roberts were on the scoresheet for Rangers, while Kristian Jones netted for Llangollen.

Llandudno Albion got one over on a familiar foe to reach the next stage of the FAW Trophy with a 4-2 win at St Asaph City.

Albion went ahead after just six minutes when Allan Davies hit the target.

The Saints managed to pick themselves up in impressive fashion soon after with two goals in quick succession from debutant Tom McDougall, a recent signing from Prestatyn Sports, and Johnny Taylor to put them in front with 16 on the clock.

This was met by a swift response from the visitors, who got themselves back level at the interval through a superb effort from Jack Williams, and they pulled clear once again following the interval when Dan Evans fired a quick-fire brace on 47 and 52 to give Albion a two-goal cushion.
