WITH women’s football going from strength-to-strength, so too is local girls team Genod Henllan.

They are currently competing in their first season in the North Wales Girls Football League (East).

Henllan started the season on home turf at Llannefydd with a comfortable 4-1 win against Holywell.

Beth Roberts scored twice for the villagers, as did player of the match Annie Davies.

Next came a visit to Johnstown, with another 4-1 victory being secured.

Ella Allen was named as the player of the match as a result of her strong defending.

Once again, Beth Roberts and Annie Davies both netted twice for Henllan.

Carrying on the winning form, Henllan then defeated visitors Northop 5-1 in their next meeting.

Annie Davies scored twice once again, taking her tally to six goals in three matches.

Mali Roberts (2) and Mabli Fitzgerald were also on target.

Genod Henllan's next home game is on October 5 against Deeside U-11s.
