THERE were plenty of goals for Ruthin Town Youth FC sides to celebrate over the weekend.

Ruthin's two U-12 sides shared an amazing 25 goals in league action.

Ruthin Blues romped to a 13-0 triumph during their trip to Queens Park, with Christian Astbury netting a hat-trick.

The remaining tally came from Jayden Parry (2), Sion Williams, Harry Taylor, Dyfan Thomas, George Lawton, Dan Woolam, Max Bartley, Isaac Gwyn and an own goal.

The club's top player of the weekend was undoubtedly Dafydd Edwards.

He scored no fewer than eight goals in Ruthin Town U-12s' 12-2 home success versus Rhos Aelwyd.

Elis Jones netted a hat-trick for the hosts, with Leo Jones also on the scoresheet.

In another goal-laden affair, Ruthin Town U-13s lost out 8-4 during their clash at home to Borras Park Albion.

Fin Jones, Aled Jones, Gruffudd Hughes Owen and an own goal completed the Ruthin goal tally.

Revenge turned out to be sweet for Ruthin Town U-15s in knockout action.

Seven days after losing to Ruthin Blues in the league, Town saw off their clubmates 4-1 in the league cup.

Harry Hewit, Aleksander Cyra, Charlie Tokarczyk and Meilir Williams scored for the victors, with Lewis Lloyd Hughes on target for the Blues.
