SAM was most certainly the man during a festive golfing event.
A bumper field of 153 entries was attracted to Denbigh Golf Club's Christmas competition.
The winner with an excellent haul of 42 points was Sam Frimpong.
Owing to the different conditions and with heavy rain on occasion, there were two sets of results as the course was played on winter greens and the main greens on different days.
Andy McColl and Jon Roberts topped the silver and bronze divisions in the winter greens class, with Darren Foulkes and Brian Lewis doing likewise on the main greens.
