BODEDERN ATHLETIC 5

ST ASAPH CITY 0

BODEDERN Athletic moved up to sixth in Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One thanks to a 5-0 home win over St Asaph City.

An encouraging start from the visitors restricted their opponents to little goalmouth action during the opening exchanges, but they were undone on 16 minutes when Casey Boylan took advantage of some space and finished well.

Things went from bad to worse for City soon after when Boylan broke clear on 21 minutes to slot in his second of the contest, and their fate was all-but sealed just before the break when another good spell of possession saw Jamie Jones notch a third with 42 on the clock.

After the break, the home side continue to press and they were rewarded once again on 54 minutes when Callum Thomas’ strike found its way into the net, and a miserable afternoon at the office for the Saints was complete on the hour mark when James McMinimee rounded off the scoring.
