DESPITE holding the lead, Llanuwchllyn failed to secure a weekend point in Wrexham Area League Premier Division action.

In difficult conditions, Llan suffered a 2-1 loss in their home encounter versus Penycae.

Oli Crimp had given the home villagers the lead, but strikes from Ruben Monteiro and Cameron Chambers turned things around in Penycae's favour.

Turning to the Reserves' Division and Ruthin Town Reserves put together a good fightback on Friday evening to make their point.

Bala Town Reserves suffered a 2-0 home reverse at the hands of Airbus UK Development in Reserves / Colts Division action, while Llangollen Town Reserves are out of the Reserves / Colts Division Cup following a 4-1 quarter-final defeat at Saltney Town Reserves.
