AN away day loss marked the Wrexham Area League weekend from the perspective of Llanuwchllyn.
The latest test for the Gwynedd villagers in the Premier Division was a visit to Rhos Aelwyd.
A 2-0 margin would hand the hosts their fourth league triumph of the campaign.
Grabbing the goals for Rhos Aelwyd were James Rogers and Aled
Robertson.
Turning to Division One and Llangollen Town kept their promotion dreams alive with a hard-fought 3-1 success at basement side Johnstown Youth, who appear to be on the verge of turning the corner.
Chad Humphreys was on target twice as Llan bagged a sixth victory of the season.
Jack Goulbourne grabbed the other Llangollen goal, with Brett Fitzsimmons reducing the arrears for Johnstown.
Spot-on Ruthin Town Reserves are through to the semi-finals of the Reserves' Division Cup.
On Saturday, Ruthin played host to Gresford Athletic Reserves in a last-eight tie and the sides could not be separated after two hours of football.
It was 1-1 following the initial 90 minutes, with Cai Davies on target for Town.
Extra time didn't produce any further goals and the ensuing penalty shootout was won 4-3 by Ruthin.
Turning to the Reserves / Colts Division and Bala Town Reserves were certainly in seventh heaven!
The men from Maes Tegid claimed a thumping 7-0 success during their weekend visit to Ruthin Development.
Elsewhere, Llangollen Town Reserves were able to make their point.
Llan's home encounter with Johnstown Youth Reserves finished up in a 1-1 draw.
Kurtis Barber netted for Llangollen on the stroke of half-time, but plucky Johnstown hit back late on via Rowan Birch.
