THERE was joy for Jones during week 11 of Denbigh Golf Club's winter league season.

Jake Jones was the winner thanks to his haul of 43 points, one clear of Mike Hughes, who won the bronze division.

There were 100 entries, almost double the competitors that were seen a week earlier.

Week 10 saw bad weather denying most members a round.

Gales and waterlogged conditions closed the course to ensure safety.

Ken Jones was the winner during the week with 42 points.
