THERE'S just no stopping Geraint Jones at the moment.

Seven days after he grabbed four goals in the Premier Cup win over Y Glannau, Jones was at his best again as Llansannan strengthened their Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Premier Division title hopes.

Win number six of the campaign was delivered as Llan eased to a 3-0 home win versus basement side Rhos United.

Jones struck twice in the first half to have the home side in control by the interval and he added another for good measure on the hour to complete his hat-trick.

Bro Cernyw caused a major stir in their spot of weekend action.

The villagers ended Abergele's unbeaten record in the league this season with an excellent 2-0 home triumph.

Richard Parry opened the scoring in the seventh minute, while Carwyn McFadden doubled his side's advantage after an hour.

It wasn't the best of weekend's for Cerrigydrudion, who slipped to a heavy 7-0 loss at title favourites Rhuddlan Town.

A hat-trick from Matty Rees did the bulk of the damage on the day, with Ian Devenport (2), Jordan Frazer and Zak Hughes also on the scoresheet.

Elsewhere in the Premier Division, Y Glannau were defeated 3-1 during their visit to Meliden.

An own goal had Y Glannau on the scoreboard, with Tom Fletcher, Scott Stewart and Jordan Owen on target for Meliden.

Looking at Division One and local bragging rights belong to Denbigh Town Development.

In their derby at Henllan, the Denbigh lads secured a 6-1 margin of victory.

Joel Rowlands enjoyed his day by netting a hat-trick for the visitors, while Denbigh's other goals were shared by Ash Andrews, Morgan Jones and Arron Williams.
