LLANDYRNOG UNITED 0

BLAENAU AMATEURS 3

THERE were no home comforts for Llandyrnog United to enjoy over the weekend.

A home clash versus Blaenau Amateurs marked Saturday's spot of action for Llandyrnog in Lock Stock Welsh Alliance League Division One action.

Two first half goals would ultimately set Blaenau on their way to a comfortable 3-0 victory.

Ian Roberts popped up with the opening goal in the 17th minute and it was left to Meilir Williams to double the advantage against the run of play after 32 minutes.

The second half witnessed one further goal and this was netted by Williams with 20 minutes left to play.

There was also a home loss on Saturday for St Asaph City.

The Saints welcomed Llanrwst United and the outcome turned out to be 2-0 in the visitors' favour.

A goal in each half did the trick for United, with Leighton Griffiths handing his side the lead right on the stroke of half-time.

Chris Nicholson's effort sealed the deal for Llanrwst with 17 minutes left.
