LLANNEFYDD 5

FIVE-star Llannefydd could not have hoped for a better weekend.

The villagers were on their travels on Friday evening as they headed to Llandudno Amateurs for their latest Lock Stock Welsh Alliance League Division Two encounter.

A trio of first half goals settled any nerves Llannefydd may have had ahead of kick-off and they would eventually run out thumping 5-0 winners to strengthen their title hopes.

In an ideal start, Tomos Jones handed the visitors the lead in only the fifth minute, while the advantage was doubled 10 minutes later when Elgan Roberts found the back of the net.

The three points were effectively sealed when Ed Jones made it 3-0 after half-an-hour.

Llannefydd weren't about to rest on their laurels and they added another couple of goals for good measure after the interval.

Tomos Jones bagged his second goal of the evening after an hour, before Elias Owen concluded the scoring in the final minute.

Llannefydd's man of the match was Ed Jones.
