A NEWLY-FORMED club for 2020/21 has unveiled its new sponsor for its home and away kits this week.

Caer Clwyd, based in Denbigh, will have revealed that Myddleton College, also in Denbigh, will be their main sponsor for the upcoming campaign.

A spokesperson for the club said: "We are extremely happy to announce that Myddelton College have decided to sponsor our home and away kit for the upcoming 20/21 season.

"A massive thank you to Andrew Allman, the headmaster of Myddelton College for organising the sponsorship. We are grateful for your support and generosity during these hard times.

"Also thanks to Ellis Wood for coming to take the photographs for us."

Caer Clwyd have been placed in the new North Wales Coast East Division One structure for 2020/21, where they will come up against the likes of Abergele, Llysfaen and Llandudno Amateurs.

And, although they will face some stern competition from well-established clubs, Caer Clwyd's management team of Andy Pace, John Wood, Lloyd Hubbard and Keiran Kendrick - who who will run Caer Clwyd FC - say there is already "no limit to their ambition" and they have started to build a squad ahead of the new season.

The club has also secured a pitch deal to use Myddleton College for the upcoming campaign - which has multiple facilities in place; including a fully-equipped sports hall and home and away changing rooms.

The club won a full Puma kit from BT Sport last year, which has given them their purple colour theme.

Caer Clwyd means 'Fortress of the Clwyd' in Welsh and the club badge, created by Huntsman Productions, is based on the jubilee tower on Moel Famau.
