BALA TOWN FC will face off against Belgian giants Standard Liege in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League.

Colin Caton's men made history last Thursday, when they beat Valletta FC in Malta to pick up their first ever away win in Europe and advanced to the second qualifying round for the first time ever too.

Following the draw made in Switzerland earlier today, the Lakesiders now know they will host Standard Liege on September 17.

The venue is to be confirmed, but the tie will most likely be played at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Standard Liege finished fifth in the Belgian Pro League last season and are currently sat in second place in the division's 2020/21 campaign, which is already four games in.

Bala's opponents are ten time Belgian Pro League champions and have also won the Belgian Cup on eight occasions.
