CORWEN Football Club have been busy adding new faces to their ranks over the last few days.

New manager Nicky Jones, who takes over from Sion Tudor, has brought in new players ahead of the club's 2020/21 campaign in the new-look Ardal North East League (tier three).

Having been relegated from the Cymru North division last season, the club will be looking to bounce back to tier two at the first attempt.

But it won't be easy, as there will be some stern competition from the likes of Llanfair United, Caersws, Chirk AAA and more.

The news faces to have arrived at Corwen's War Memorial Park this past week are Matthew Williams from Ruthin Town, Joshua Atkin from Saltney Town and Liam Sklenar from Plas Madoc, who have folded.

The club say that more signings will be announced in the coming days and also confirmed that Owen Cordiner has re-committed for the season ahead.

Among other new faces already signed for Corwen this summer are Jordan Dooley who transfers over from Chirk Town and Sion Roberts who returns to the club after a spell at Llanuwchllyn.

Corwen have also made a number of changes to their coaching squad ahead of their 2020/21 campaign.

Nathan Aldridge, James Davies, Danny Jones and Gareth Bodden will make up new manager Nick Jones coaching team for the season ahead.

Davies comes in as first team coach, having previously had a successful playing career with Ruthin Town, Llangollen Town and Corwen.

Aldridge comes in as a goalkeeper coach and back-up keeper, Jones has taken on the role of club physio and Bodden will be the club's kit man.
