THE Vale of Clwyd Angling Club is inviting potential newbies to 'get out into the open air' and 'take up fishing' with Covid-19 restrictions being lifted throughout Wales.

The Denbighshire club offers one of the biggest portfolios of water offering some of the best and most diverse freshwater fishing in North Wales and further beyond.

It can offer anglers a 12 month season with Winter fishing for Grayling and stocked Rainbow trout.

The club has Lake angling for rainbow trout on Llyn Brenig and Llyn Alwen together with their own well stocked Club Lake “Llyn Clywedog” near Denbigh.

It also has in excess of 20 miles of river fishing for sea trout, brown trout and salmon on the river Clwyd between Rhuddlan and Ruthin plus five of the best sea trout beats on the river Elwy in and around St Asaph.

Members have opportunity to fish these wonderful waters : River Clwyd River Clywedog River Elwy River Wheeler River Ystrad Llyn Clywedog (Nr Saron) Llyn Brenig, Llyn Alwen, Llyn Bran and Tan-y-Mynydd Trout Fishery (Nr. Abergele).

In addition, it has well established ticket share arrangements with Bala Angling Club - River Dee, River Treweryn & Llyn Tegid Llangollen Maelor - River Dee Nidderdale AC - River Nidd County Durham and Derwent AC - River Derwent River Tanat Dalbeattie Angling - River Urr Llandeilo Angling - River Towy

During the winter months the Club holds weekly Fly Tying evenings at Denbigh Fire station, with a mix of teaching, social and professional demonstrations from some of the best professional fly tyers locally.

The Vale of Clwyd Angling Club has more than 650 members on its Facebook community and is looking to add more to its official membership scheme with limited full membership spaces available for 2021 (Juniors under 16 free of charge).
