THERE were goals galore in the JD Cymru Premier on Tuesday, April 13, as the league’s top-two teams hit six goals each and another club hit five.

The New Saints (TNS) maintained their place at the top of the league as they came away with an impressive 6-0 win from Barry Town United’s Jenner Park.

Adam Roscrow struck first before Ryan Brobbel added a double before half time. Brobbel was at the double again in the second half and defender Ryan Astles completed an emphatic scoreline.

Second-place Connah's Quay Nomads, who are on the same points total (60) as TNS, kept the pressure on at the top by scoring six goals of their own in a 6-1 demolition of Caernarfon Town at The Oval.

Declan Poole put the visitors ahead after 16mins before Jake Bickerstaff equalised for the Cofis. Mike Wilde then put the Nomads in front before a Cai Jones own goal made it 3-1.

An injury to keeper Josh Tibbetts made things go from bad to worse for Caernarfon who conceded three more goals late on with Danny Davies (2) and George Horan on target.

Elsewhere, Flint Town United beat bottom-of-the-table Cefn Druids 5-0 with Mark Cadwallader, Conor Harwood, Josh Amis, Ben Maher and Jordan Buckley all on the scoresheet for Neil Gibson's side.

Penybont, who beat Connah's Quay three days earlier, fell to a 3-2 loss at home to Bala.

Antony Kay put the Lakesiders into a commanding lead before Kostya Georgievsky pulled one back. Steven Leslie scored a wonderful free-kick to give Bala a two-goal cushion before Lewis Clutton pulled one back late on for Bont - but it was not enough.
