BALA TOWN FC will be looking to end The New Saints’ hopes of winning the JD Cymru Premier title when the final day of the 20/21 campaign arrives on Saturday.

TNS head into the tie two points behind league-leaders Connah’s Quay Nomads knowing that they must win to stand any chance of leapfrogging their rivals to the trophy.

Bala meanwhile will be looking to make things as difficult as possible for Anthony Limbrick’s side at Park Hall.

In their three meetings to date this season, the two sides have drawn 1-1 back in November, 0-0 at Park Hall in March and in their most recent face-off, TNS handed Bala a 1-0 defeat at home just last month.

There was also the Maes Tegid fixture back in October which had to be replayed (and ended in that 1-1 draw) after a floodlight failure two minutes of time with the score at 2-2.

Among the danger men for Bala watch out for will be young midfielder Ben Clark who has been something of a revelation in the middle of the park for the Saints this season, scoring six goals.

The man who has really been pulling the strings for them of late though is fellow midfielder Ryan Brobbel.

Since returning from a long-term injury, he's been in unstoppable form for TNS, hitting nine goals in as many matches in the Championship Conference phase of the season.

Bala themselves are certainly not shy of goalscoring talent either though.

Captain Chris Venables is set to earn himself a fifth Golden Boot after hitting 19 goals this season - and just recently passed the 200-goal mark in Wales' top-flight.

Midfielder Will Evans has also been a fantastic addition to Colin Caton's side, scoring 13 times in 30 outings.

The Lakesiders may have already secured third place in the division heading into this tie but they certainly won't roll over and let TNS stroll their way to potentially winning the title on Saturday.

Whatever happens, it promises to be one of the most exciting endings to a JD Cymru Premier season there has ever been.

Can the Nomads claim their second consecutive title or will the Saints make it title number 14?
