WALES' Economy Minister, Vaughan Gething said he hopes people will continue to follow the rules on social distancing as they watch Wales in Euro 2020.

Mr Gething was asked about photographs on social media of Wales fans celebrating together in pubs and at home during Monday's press conference on the coronavirus situation in Wales.

He said he hoped fans would follow the rules during Wales subsequent games in the tournament.

"If you are in a bubble with people, you can have contact with them," Mr Gething said.

"I don't know if everyone in those pictures is in that position."

"Please do the right thing. Support on the pitch and off, by doing the right thing."

He warned that more contact with more people will lead to an increase in coronavirus cases, and Wales does not want to be in a position where hospitality businesses are effected as a result.

"We do not want to have to go in and re-regulate what is happening in those places - that is not the right thing for anyone," he said.
