ENDLESS messages of support for local lad Harry Wilson have been sent into the Denbighshire Free Press ahead of Wales' Euro 2020 match against Denmark on Saturday.

Rob Page's Wales side defied the odds once more as they progressed from a group which also featured Italy, Turkey and Switzerland to set up a last 16 clash against the Danes.

Among the stars set to play in that encounter is Corwen-born Liverpool FC winger Harry Wilson.

The 24-year-old came off the bench in the 2-0 win over Turkey, as well as in the 1-0 defeat to Italy in Rome to play in his first major tournament for Wales.

Wilson, who has impressed in loan spells at Hull City, Derby County, Bournemouth and Cardiff City in recent seasons, is much-loved in his home town of Corwen and has regularly thrown his support behind clubs and schools in the area.

He donated a shirt to Corwen Football Club Juniors after they suffered severe flooding in 2019 and also presented his first-ever Wales shirt he wore on his debut v Belgium in 2013 to Llangollen's Ysgol Dinas Bran, which he once attended. It is now framed outside the PE department at the school.

Ahead of Saturday's match v Denmark, people from Corwen and beyond have been sending in their messages of support for Wilson to the DFP. Here are just some of them ...
