RUTHIN TOWN Football Club recently celebrated the achievements of some of its younger stars.

The first team may play as high up as tier-two JD Cymru North, but on July 3, the spotlight was well and truly on some of the up and coming talent at the club instead.

A socially-distanced presentation night was held outdoors to mark the achievements of some of the club's youth players.

In the U12's categories, the winners were; Elis Roberts (Most improved player), Charles Jackson (Managers player), Gwydion Lloyd (Players player) and Tomos Carter (Clubman).

For the under 13 Blues, Christian Astbury took 'Most Improved Player', whilst Oliver Leech was 'Players Player', Dyfan Thomas was 'Clubman' and Isaac Gwyn was 'Managers Player'.

Also winners in the under 13's category were: Dafydd Edwards (Players player), Jake Price (Managers player), Caleb Jones (Most improved player) and Joe Threlfall (Clubman).

For the under 14's, the following winners were presented with trophies: Rhys Jones (Clubman), Gruffudd Price (Managers player), Gabriel Hinchcliffe (Players player) and Fin Jones (Most improved player).

In the under 15's, prizes were won by: Meirion Williams (Most improved player), Harry Martin (Players player), Rhun Hilditch Roberts (Clubman) and Tom Gwyn Griffiths (Managers player).

For the under 16's blues, winners were: Harry Thackray (clubman), Huw Thomas (Most improved), Alfie McKay (Managers player). Players player Ewen Dennis wasn't in attendance.

Also winners for under 16's were: Jac Evans (Most improved), Sami Williams (Managers player), Aaron Young (Players player) and Joe Myra (Clubman).
