THERE is, potentially, plenty of great footballing action ahead this Saturday as the FAW Amateur Trophy kicks off throughout Wales.

The action from the FAW Welsh Cup took place last weekend and certainly didn't disappointing with some great cup upsets along the way.

Several North Wales clubs are now set to get their Amateur Trophy journey underway on Saturday afternoon (all 2pm ko).

In North East Wales, Brickfield Rangers will welcome Chirk AAA to their home ground, Bro Cernyw will take on Denbigh-based Caer Clwyd and Caerwys will face off against Halkyn and Flint Mountain.

Castell Alun Colts will play Lex XI, Ruabon Rovers face Cefn Albion and Cefn Mawr Rangers take on Penycae.

Elsewhere, Connah's Quay Town will play against NFA FC, Henllan FC will take on Llannefydd at home and CPD Y Rhyl 1879 will host St Asaph City at Bellevue.

Greenfield will square off against Rhuddlan Town FC, Hawarden Rangers will play New Brighton Villa at home and Llandyrnog United will face Rhydymwyn.

The action will continue over at Llangollen Town too as they welcome Rhos Aelwyd, meanwhile, Llansannan will take on Rhyl Dragons at home and Penyffordd Lions will make the short trip over to Mold Alexandra.

Prestatyn Sports will take on Mochdre Sports, Meliden will play against Llandudno Junction and Llysfaen will host Llanrwst United at home.
