A STUNNING second half display made sure it was a winning Cymru North weekend for Ruthin Town.

The Memorial Park Fields side trailed visitors Penrhyncoch 1-0 at the interval.

However, Ruthin went on to cement their top-six position by hitting five goals without reply in the second 45 minutes.

In testing conditions, Harri Horwood handed the Mid Walians the lead after a quarter-of-an-hour.

That's how it remained until the interval, with Town hauling themselves level six minutes after the restart thanks to Jamie Cumming's penalty.

Charlie Williams gave the hosts the lead around the hour-mark, while Ruthin ran away with it as they netted three times in the closing quarter-of-an-hour.

All of them came from Cumming to complete a fantastic four-goal haul.
