GWYNEDD clashes are the topic of Bala Town's Christmas and new year programme.

Meetings between the Lakesiders and Caernarfon Town are big enough usually, but this winter the games will have added significance, with both clubs battling to secure a spot in the top-six of the Cymru Premier League.

The first meeting between the teams takes place at Maes Tegid on December 26.

Then, on New Year's Day, The Oval in Caernarfon will be the setting for the reverse fixture.

Before these encounters, Bala have two big games on the road.

This Saturday, they head south to tackle Haverfordwest County and on December 17, the Lakesiders go to basement side Cefn Druids.

After Christmas, there is also a busy spell for Ruthin Town in Cymru North.

Looking to cement their position in the top-six in the standings, there's a big encounter for Ruthin on Monday, December 27 as they host fourth-placed Buckley Town.

There's little respite for Phil Hudson's charges, who will then pay a visit to Prestatyn Town on New Year's Day.

Both of these matches will kick-off at 2.30pm.

Meanwhile, there's a big Vale of Clwyd derby clash on offer for spectators on December 27.

In the Ardal North West League, title-chasing Denbigh Town will play host to St Asaph City.

Kick-off will be at 1pm.

On December 26, Llanuwchllyn will be at home to Rhostyllen (2pm).

The Saturday prior to Christmas - December 18 - will see Llanuwchllyn heading to St Asaph City.

On the same day, Denbigh will be aiming to strengthen their title push at Brickfield Rangers.
