THE good weather last week encouraged 140 players to take part in the annual Denbigh Golf Club Christmas competition.
All were playing off their summer handicap and the players returned some fine scores.
Dave Clayton's 46-point haul saw him claim overall victory, two points ahead of bronze division winner Bob Jones.

The winter league returns this week once again with another possible 14 weeks for players to challenge for the championship and the top team accolade.
