Goals in the closing stages from Liam Grayson and Jason Foulkes settled a thriller in the Saints' favour.
Grayson struck twice for St Asaph, with Dan Williams and Carl Murray also finding the target for the hosts.
Dan Dascalu, Joe Williams and Nathan Davies all scored for Llanuwchllyn, who levelled after trailing by a 3-0 margin.
