ON a wet and windy day, there was a good turnout of Denbigh Harriers at the Bespoke Fitness Ruthin 5k and 10k race on Sunday.
In the 10k race, Shaun Hughes showed fantastic form despite the conditions.
Hughes finished first overall in a terrific time of 36 minutes and 27 seconds.
Melina Morris also had a great run to finish 19th overall, the second lady and the second F40 in 45.50.
Lee Evans achieved a personal best of 49.06, which saw him finishing 30th overall and third in the F40 class, with Lisa Dafydd (64th) bringing the Harriers home in 1-00.38.
In the 5k race, recent new member Gareth Jones had a storming run to cross the line third overall and the first M40 in 21.21.
He was followed closely by Emma Collins, fifth overall, second lady and first F50, in 22.20.
Peter Lester-Owen ran a personal best of 25.20 for seventh position and the first M60, followed by Bob Neale (10th and first M70) in 26.34.
Then came David Spencer (15th in 27.43), Angela Beedles (20th and first F60 in 29.37) and Ieuan Wynne Lewis (25th and third M50 in 31.22).

Conwy: 31, Sioned Griffiths 23.56; 39, Alys Griffiths 24.50 (pb); 139, John Llewelyn Thomas 46.52.
Monsal: 58, Chris Baldwin 26.01.
